I’ve been seeing beautifully broken PSD previews in Finder recently. It’s hard to be annoyed when they look this cool.
This is a great post by @mwichary@mastodon.online, demonstrating how Adobe’s apps are decaying. I have a couple to add to the pile for the new canvas window: It now accepts fractional pixels and shouldn’t, nudging increases or decreases by 0.01 pixels, and shift-nudging changes the value by 0.1 pixels. https://unsung.aresluna.org/photoshops-challenges-with-focus-pt-2/

(We’re almost done with canvas interactions. Then… onto finish the snapping, rendering, and exporting. After that, we’ll almost be ready for beta.)

@eelco All good! I didn’t choose the best way to describe it. Is there a better phrase? “Impossible values to be represented by a double” is probably better? I guess the value was still rounded to the closest it can be, so… that is a rounding error of sorts? You may know this, but there’s float to string conversion libraries that don’t have this issue.

@flogehring Those scale incoming MIDI velocity. It’s a percentage. So, a step slider at 100 means no change. A slider at 50 means the velocity will be multiplied by 0.5. +@bjango
