Point is not to lionize American violence, as i said. Point is that westerners come around when it is about their geopolitical interest and their soldiers' lives (pro-US or anti-US). If we come down to it, i had said this during the beginning of Syrian civil war and is still true today, a direct US land invasion would be relatively less indiscriminate in its killings and more directly to the point of beheading the government in question, and quicker, than bombings (we got rid of ISIS thanks to PYD playing the military proxy btw, if i remind you). But as it did in Afganistan, USA would probably fall back giving power to a Taliban-like power. And this would be another problem to deal.
Only chance for actual peace is people taking their own fates in their hands.
I am not calling for either one of these military outcomes, or for "peace". Iranians are not in a better condition in peace either. That's what i am saying. All there conditions are military questions for people in which they have to defeat two armies. Stopping US army is not more or less urgent than stopping Iranian army, because this peace is literal war of state against its people.

@artemis Any circumstance that gives a chance people to take control of their lives is favorable in my book. I would argue Russian revolution also led to a different kind of similar tyranny, btw. Point is not to lionize state violence. But you don't, one day, wake up and say hands off Iran, to Iranian state. Because it is "iranian" state. It has killed the double number of Iranians US and Israeli bombings killed just during the last bout of insurrections, by the governments own numbers. So far at least. Personally, i don't care when states fight. People getting killed obviously is not desirable, but not enough for me to take sides. Death to members of both armed forces and only the people taking advantage of the situation will do something valuable. People should desert Iranian Army and US army in peace time as well.
