Mein Tipp für alle in #Graz, die sich den Sommer über nach super leckerem, tollen und regionalen Bio-Gemüse sehnen.

Wöchentlich bis Mittwoch wahlweise per SMS oder Signal Umfrage abstimmen, ob man lieber 3 oder 5kg hätte (oder eben mal nichts) und schon darf mich sich Samstags auf eine Lieferung freuen!

Soooo gut! Ich war schon öfters auf der Farm zu Besuch und hab ab und da ein bisserl mitgeholfen. Es ist so toll, was da in wenigen Jahren entstanden ist, und jetzt die Ergebnisse auch zuhause essen zu können ist ein Traum :)

So lautet der Titel vom Vortrag den @melaniebartos@chaos.social nächste Woche bei den Grazer Linuxtagen @linuxtage@graz.social halten wird. Ich bin schon sehr gespannt und freue mich darauf!

Ich finde ja, wir sollten relevante Personen von der Stadt Graz, von den in Graz ansässigen Zeitungen oder auch den Universitäten und anderern explizit dazu einladen.

Da haben wir wieder eine massive Hitzewelle und ein einmaliger Eintritt in ein Grazer Freibad kostet normal 8,90€. Bei 32+ Grad ist ein Besuch im Freibad für viele mehr als nur ein Freizeitspaß, es ist eine Flucht vor der Hitze. Ich erlebe beinahe täglich, wie diskutiert wird, ob man sich die Abkühlung heute leisten kann oder nicht. Besonders Einkommensschwache Menschen leben oft in schlecht klimatisierten Wohnungen oder können nicht in ihrem (Ferien)haus (in den Bergen) Abkühlung suchen.

Wie will Graz ihre Bevölkerung vor der zunehmenden Hitze schützen?

Last week, I had an online meeting with the developers of #Gancio, #Mobilizon and #LAUTI. We either found out that we had already planned our trip to this year's #FOSDEM or were thinking about it. 1. Wurden Inhalte für Mastodon je spezifisch aufbereitet, oder griff man prinzipiell auf die bereits für andere Plattformen erstellen Inhalte zurück?

2. Wie groß sind die geschätzten Einsparungen (finanziell oder personell in Stunden/Woche), die man sich mit diesen Schritt erhofft?

Sucht man nach einer Zugverbindung zwischen Bozen und Graz, werden einen nur Verbindungen über Innsbruck vorgeschlagen, welche im besten Fall 8h 4m dauert. Erst wenn man als Via Lienz eingibt, erhält man eine wesentlich schnellere Route 6h36m, die zudem auch billiger ist. #Bahn #oebb

Can you all please just stop the so called #VibeCoding. Or at least warn be that you did, before I try to contribute to your projects?!

I mean if you use an LLM from time to time, to find some typos, let it feedback about what you wrote or the terms you used or maybe even let it draft some boring boilerplate stuff, I can live with that, but probably everything else is going to drive a real human software engineer mad at some point.

I am just debugging and reviewing the most common SAML auth plugin for #Moodle and the amount of obvious bugs because of deprecations in libraries is a bit overwhelming. :sadlinux:

But thanks to my daytime job I can do this while getting paid, so it's fine I guess :)

A question for how Fediverse polls should behave:

Should polls be allowed to be re-opened again and again. Without the votes to reset? Or should there be a limit like when the poll is closed for some time re-opening will reset the vote count.

The issue is that as long re-opening is possible and votes should not reset the information who voted for what needs to be preserved, otherwise at some point we just need to store the poll result.

Dear #WordPress users, I want to hear your opinion!

I'm currently finishing my work on the Polls For #ActivityPub plugin.

I decided to use a custom post type for polls. However, many people mentioned that they would like to also add polls to normal posts.

My first question is: what is the best workflow/UI for the block-editor when adding a new poll block to a normal post?

I started with an empty state: "Create new Poll, Embed existing poll". Here I was wondering, whether I should directly enforce the user to create a poll which is stored as a draft when choosing "Create new poll", or keeping all data local to the post until the post is saved/published.

And should I allow the user to edit an embedded poll inline? Or should I just link to the edit link of the poll directly, once it's created? And how many warnings about such relationships do users expect? When deleting a poll that might be embedded. Isn't it similar to media? What are your wishes?!
