@sundogplanets@mastodon.social Other than seperating investors from money, and - let's face it - a proxy for a dick measuring contest - what's even the point? Underwater data centres was odd, but made some sense to me. Being in space just makes everything about a computer work worse - I mean, let's start with cooling, powering, radiation hardening and cosmic rays for a basic 4.

@justbob@kolektiva.social @crispius@mstdn.fname.ca I've spent ages trying to figure out how I'd do it in a federated way. I couldn't come up with anything that didn't let one party dominate other than a web-of-trust like (with variable trust amounts) approach.
(I thought that it'd be interesting - because you'd be able to have multiple types of algorithms, and trust some more than others - maybe even permitting some paid account ones)

I'm still trying to figure out what less than obvious 'well, at least think about AI before just flying balls-first at it' I can get away with at work.
I know I need to be perceived as not just 'the anti #AI guy' if I want continued employment, but I really want people to a think about how they're using it.
