#ArtAdventCalendar 2025 Day 16: vivid sunset.
I love using underglazes to paint gradients on my pottery. This cache pot was inspired by a particularly vivid sunset on a clear day.

After a day of rain and gloom, the San Francisco sunset decided to put on a brief but spectacular show.

The interior of my garlic pot. The azure blue makes me happy every time I open it.

I'm participating in #WeAintBuyingIt, and I'm grateful to have lots of options for independent, locally-owned stores when I need to get something. (I recognize that not everyone has this privilege.)
For instance: I plan to do some indigo dyeing on Sunday (first time! wish me luck!), and I need to get 5-gallon buckets. Thankfully there's a great hardware store nearby that is a certified small business with the State of California. 💪

My #WikipediaYearInReview stats were... unexpected! But fun.
(Okay, maybe visiting the main page is not so unexpected. But the rest kinda surprised me.)

@ged @nikitonsky the snow was hard to read past.
I was thankful to have an option to turn it off, though.
And there's a certain nostalgia to it, à la websites during the turn of the millennium.

@platypus@glammr.us @briney@glammr.us Same! 🤩 But also: good advertising! the bright colors & bold pattern definitely caught my eye, and the book title & description made me linger 🤓

@v_d_richards@literatur.social @iode@mastodon.online I've actually been thinking about something like this, for all sorts of reasons.
They exist; I'm not sure how effective they are.
