@semanticist@mastodon.social it's been a while since I've used one but I think they might not play well with responsive layouts, and they're fiddly to author. Bandcamp still uses them in production though (on desktop only) so they're not totally dead.

SVGs are nicer but probably even fiddlier if you're not used to working with them.
