This lawsuit isn't primarily about Linux, which is just 1 of 26 copyleft projects on the TVs; there's both GPLv2 & LGPLv2.1 binaries; Vizio's sources remain non-compliant on various issues. I think maybe you didn't read what we've actually said?
Lots of Linux developers care about this and have different views, so maybe take some time to talk to them or me about it? Could be fun!
uh so the registration numbers for #FOSSY are way higher than the room bookings... the university housing is waaaay more convenient and cheaper than downtown Vancouver and the block expires in a few days. It's nice accommodations and there are cheaper and fancier options. I'm a last minute person, but I'm telling you to book your room now!

We are getting very close to making our match challenge!!!! We have just $13,368 left to go!
Can we get there today? The in person number is updating faster than we can do the site but we'll be checking periodically to update before the end of the day!
The high profile #GPL lawsuits @conservancy@social.sfconservancy.org brings are last resort - they are only the most visible part of our enforcement efforts.
We work hard to respond the violation reports we receive, and work with companies to get them into compliance.
We launched Use the Source to do more of our work in a way that people can see, and participate too, working towards using the source code we receive to do cool things with our own devices :)

I also learned that people who have iphones have to install a "find on page" app in order to just search a web page on a browser for text? Odd!

@zacchiro In the legal @ policy devroom, over a third of people in our first session were coming to their first FOSDEM!
