I have an LG TV. Great picture! That's its one job. Put images up in my living room.
To that end, I have never connected it to even my home network, let alone the internet.
Its input (great pictures!) comes from a single HDMI cable connected to an Apple TV unit. That is all it has ever had and all it will ever have.
That is how to roll with these "smart" devices.
