Last year we dropped reciprocal tarrifes. The US conceded nothing.
Then we dropped the digital services tax on US tech companies.
The US conceded nothing.
Now, Washington wants MORE concessions as an 'entry fee' before beginning CUSMA negotiations.
Don't be stupid, Carney. Appeasement does not work with this thug, and will not benefit Canada.

He's doing great things for fediverse visibility... but being a one man show leads to getting your ego involved or missing things (like Loops' egregious rights over-reach in its TOS).
Dan's done a lot of good... I just hope he can avoid an Icarus-style crash and burn that could undo a lot of that good.

@glennmagusharvey@sakurajima.moe more than you asked for but re fluxer I remain cautions: stoat gas been working on this for 5ish years... Fluxer has been around for months and floated a '499 for life' donation plan.
Open source is a requirement yes, but I need to see a certain level of good faith effort before building a community in a new place.
I get bad vibes but will keep an eye on fluxer, but am already testing stoat.

@ThistleArts@mastodon.art such a hard concept for people to internalize, and ultimately its up to each artist to figure out how to hawk their wares in a way they (and those who appreciate their art) can live with.
Me, I really have to up my game I still make art but hardly ever promote it anymore.
Not coincidentally, I make less art nowadays.
Always amazes mW when fanatics about tech, sports, comics, etc eat their own for daring to think differently.
Be kind to the folks you know that love be what you love DIFFERENTLY.
Different can be good. So can questioning politely, and either learning something or teaching something.
Just...try not to nuke difference from orbit?
