My local kebab shop has two automatic kebab-shaving robots. They do not look like people or animals and are not cute, which makes the degree to which I have anthropomorphized them very weird.
They are my friends and I love them.
This is the most specific job I have ever seen sharing it on the off chance one of you know someone who:
- Is UK based
- Looking for flexible, part time work
- Has an academic/research background
- Wants to build a research grants program
- Loves hedgehogs 🦔🦔🦔

The optometrist asks how many hours a day you look at screens now?
When did this become a thing? I was not prepared for the self reflection this question prompted.
I am a very normal person who is messaging my friends to ask if anyone has an old Invisalign I can have for very normal use (I need a realistic tooth mould for an unhinged pottery project)
Love knowing that fighting to turn off unwanted AI features in products counts towards use metrics for that AI feature, reinforcing the ouroboros of hype-clownery.

Been going out to the park at night to watch urban fox cubs cavort and this is the healthiest replacement for screentime possible.
Saw this great policy from an employer and wanted to share it with y'all to also enjoy.

Love how sometimes I’ll sit down to focus and my brain will clothesline me with a fully formed question hyper targeted to point me at the wrong thing.
An example from moments ago: “I don’t really know anything about Central Asian cryptids, what kind of weird little guys do they have?”
One week till the kickoff party for our free web development bootcamp.
