@alda @rhelune @eq Watching a soap like Dallas on a German channel was a unique experience to me. They really tried to preserve some of the original text, probably also to convince the listener this was really taking place in Texas. I will never forget ‘ Daddy, möchten Sie ein Drink?’

@wenslauw@beautifullosers.org Ja, dat is helaas waar. Maar dat is voor een deel afhankelijk van plaats en tijd. In de spits kan het ongenadig druk zijn in de Randstad. Maar als je het geluk hebt dat je in kunt stappen op een station ruim daarvoor dan heb je altijd een zitplaats. Overstappen maakt treinreizen vervelender. De HSL Rotterdam - Schiphol is in de spits soms bizar druk, daar is duidelijk meer vraag dan aanbod. En die overvraag op drukke momenten is niet gemakkelijk op te vangen tegen acceptabele kosten.

@wenslauw@beautifullosers.org Als geharde treinforens vind ik dat een slechte keuze. Voor mensen in de luxe-positie met een woning en werkplek redelijk dicht bij een station is de trein meestal de superieure manier van reizen.
