These are basically just a big 12V dcdc and a motor controller bolted onto the chassis of an old gas powered motorcycle. Super easy to swap every part. In general it probably is very doable to replace the electronics in an EV. During my years in Formula Student I built basically all components required for that. Getting them certified for road usage here in the EU would be expensive though.

With new 18TB drives we are talking about 6k€ in drives if bought new and about half for used/recert drives.

@LeoDJ@chaos.social that looks very elegant :D The common approach in formula student is a smaller precharge relay and a PTC resistor but there the rules forbid switching using semiconductors and we are running 600V ^^'
