It’s very likely I’ll ignore DMs/private mentions unless we have an existing relationship. Talk to me in public!
Yikes, just saw that 1Password hiked their App Store subscription prices too. Our family plan is increasing by over 55%.
I’ve been grumbling about their app for years. Time to abandon ship.
Which competitor has the least worst Mac app?
(Requirements: Shared family vault, ability to store software licenses, SSH keys, random small files)
To whoever bought my laptop in 2021 and never changed the contact details on its AppleCare even though I told you "Please change the contact details on the AppleCare", your laptop is now ready to be collected from its repair.

I really love Deep Dish Swift, and I'm really excited to be speaking at it this year!

Turns out 9cm of extra build volume per axis is a *lot*.
I did a chat/interview with @malin@mastodon.social and @kaidombrowski@mastodon.social for the @DeepDishSwift@iosdev.space podcast this year (I'm a speaker!) and what came out was a really lovely snapshot into my life as an indie developer over the past *mumbles* years.
Do give it a listen if you're interested in me or my work. It's a *little* bit technical, but not overly so, and not for that long. You'll certainly know more about me by the end!
A couple of weeks ago I made a little app called Keyhole that gives you back control of your Mac's media keys. I got a pretty nice reception to it - I'm glad it's useful to others!
I wrote a little blog post about it: Introducing Keyhole: An App I Shipped In A Week
Great! My new windscreen wiper blades are available for pickup!
Wipers *for* my car will fit *in* my car, right?
(Yes yes, it needs a wash. That's about 30 minutes driving's worth of dirt at this time of year.)
I HAVE MADE A VERY SERIOUS PURCHASE
Starting to get to the end of what’ll be two solid weeks of work on a complex, full of edge-cases chunk of work - very boring, very tedious, but too important to hand off to an AI.
Thankfully I’m getting to the fun part of this kind of thing - coming up with a big pile of unit tests to prove that it actually works as it should. The process of building that big list of green ticks - and shaking out some bugs in the process - is very gratifying after two weeks of being at 100% mental load!
@schwa@mastodon.social I had to measure the car to make sure it'd fit 😬
@amyworrall@mastodon.social In Octavo, is it possible to import one page/image and have it repeated over a whole sheet of labels? I can't seem to find an option to do that.
using a View as a Controller
Some kind of “view controller”??? Nah, it’ll never catch on.
