This is Bowser.

2020: #AnimalCrossing drops right as Covid hits and we spend the year inside playing it
2026: #Pokopia drops right as WWIII hits and we spend the year inside our bunkers playing it
The next time #Nintendo drops a cozy game we need to watch out.

Welp, just removed #Chrome from my work laptop. Switched over to @Vivaldi@social.vivaldi.net.
Did I spend all day trying to solve, essentially, a single problem in my code?
Yes.
Do I feel good about that because I did it myself and as a result know - in my own brain hole - more about this code, how it works, and how to augment/fix problems with it in the future?
Also Yes.
Oh good, the utility company has sent an email about their new rate increases! Hooray! Love getting this email every six months.
"You can come to a public hearing about this change where we will promptly ignore all your complaints!"
It's easy to do work while watching a congressional hearing because you can just mute every GOP person for their 5 minutes since it'll just be lies and bullshit.
Man. My team absolutely crushed in this match.
Remember two weeks ago when we weren't in a useless war that we'll have to deal with for the latter halves of our lives?
I have also just learned about #VSCodium:
"VSCodium is a community-driven, freely-licensed binary distribution of Microsoft’s editor VS Code."
Now that #Microsoft is trying to force copilot bullshit into PR commit messages, it's probably time to jump off of the default #VSCode.
Bonus points: VSCodium, I believe, doesn't phone home a bunch of telemetry and other BS to MS.
This game is still pretttty good.
I've been messing about in it after buying a PS5 Pro this week.
Listen, if your mousepad ISN’T the one you got with Mario Paint in 1992 I don’t know what to tell you.
These are terrible photos (because I have never seemed to be able to get my phone to ever expose and focus on the things I want).
BUT, we got bees 🐝 in the trees 🌳
I’ve really been frustrated today over various things, but this afternoon I have decided to set up shop on the porch to do my work.
The fresh air and bird sounds have been helping.
Made a BIG error tonight while getting food.
My brother and my dad wanted to get some burgers so we stopped at a little place we’d seen before but never tried.
Turns out it’s a ridiculous trump propaganda burger joint. Lots of bullshit on the walls and they brand your burger.
If it’d just been me I’d have turned around, but I wasn’t driving so I didn’t make a fuss.
It was way overpriced for the mid-tier food, too.
I feel like it's nearly time to waste a bunch of money on silly things because I'll need that bit of joy as the world falls apart.
Tornado Sirens: On
(Though I don’t think I’m in the path of any danger.)
Reminder that #FinalFantasy XIII’s soundtrack still slaps.
(Though this is from a live orchestral recording)
Get your new wallpaper(s) here! This is the official NASA flickr account with high rez moon photos.

I just switch over to Linux this year on two of my PCs and they start doing this shit. I'm on Mint at the moment, so maybe I'm inoculated from it for a bit. But what a terrible direction to go in.
#Bluesky over there changing CEOs and everyone coming out of the woodwork to say "Bluesky sucks because it's boring and has no algorithmic feed!"
Meanwhile over here on Mastodon we are all just chillin' and if you want to see outside of your bubble you hit the Explore tab for a minute.
I hate it when my body feels better after eating a big salad versus something heavy and gross.
What could it mean? We’ll probably never know.
#Teams is great because I have to toggle my mic on and off a bunch for it to recognize it. Then after a few minutes it's a crapshoot as to whether or not it recognizes the mic and I have to do toggle it again.
I've had this happen with two different mics. Super great.
$3 Trillion dollar company.
This is me just testing out the share button.
I like how GameStop thinks it has enough money to buy eBay when the nearest GameStop to me was falling apart and looked otherwise about to go out of business until about a month ago when it went out of business.
It was right off one of the busiest, six lane stroads in my city.
A note for the #FFXIV community:
Dawntrail is half off ($20) on PSN (and I believe Xbox) right now.
I finally made the switch over from my aging PC, and the game does run better on the console. Since it's too expensive to upgrade PCs now, this'll probably be where I play for the next few years.
I’m “man, that’s such a good cardboard box. I shouldn’t recycle it” years old.
