@stroughtonsmith@mastodon.social as much as i respect the “purist” view, i see llm-based coding as the evolution of code completion. People are fighting this like the plague as if human code was flawless.
Next to noone today codes in pure assembly unless they absolutely have to. I don’t hear those people demonize Go or Rust. Coding has only ever been a tool for creation.
Regarding art however LLMs can get fucked though.

@archagon@mastodon.social Absolutely agree. I simply think there's a middle ground. Demonizing LLM-Coding just seems silly to me. I don't agree with people "vibe coding", but also this entire "AI Coding bad" crowd seems weird. Tech is an industry of constant change and progress. Since when are we against trying new stuff?
