The Tetrahedral Planetoid - after M.C. Escher

Started this last summer for a VR project and decided I should finish it. I spent way too much time on this one, LOL. Has all 56 inhabitants from the original. Still have to render to 6K which is gonna take somewhere around 9 hours. Hope you like! If you see anything off/missing/etc. please let me know. PS - this is a 2K render but BA is resizing to 1K for whatever reason.

Made In Blender, A animated version can be found on my Instagram - @Bogles3d please go check it out and give it some love! I was really happy with how the Cathedral turned out. Probably my most detailed building I’ve made yet. There’s a bit of kitbashing happening but the building, windows, pillars, spire, rose window, entrance etc was all made by myself 🙂

Catching dragons inside a volcano

Little viking trying to catch a dragon (inside a volcano…) I created the little yellow viking before: Afterwards I decided to make the full render > add dragon + scene. Same ref used: https://johnloren.com/odds--and-ends The dragon was a very fun character to sculpt. Colors added with sculpt vertex paint. I tried a different artstyle this time, hope you like it. I also have an animated sequence for this, but messed up the render settings for that unfortunately. Yesterday I was searching if Blender can convert sculpt masks to vertex colors for texture masking. Couldn’t find it via Startpage, so I tried Bing. Its AI on top provided credible answers, all of which turned out to be total bullshit, referring to functions that don’t even exist. How can such crap be publicly offered? 😖 Then I rediscovered myself that you can simply add an Attribute in Blender, then paint on your model with shades of black and white, and use that for texture masking. #B3D #AI

The effect of blocking AI crawlers on Blender's infrastructure. This is the CPU usage graph.

So many AI bots are crawling Blender's infra all the time. Just do a git clone and investigate local files. It's way faster (also for the AI users themselves) and doesn't block actual Blender development (it got that bad).

Quick Kitchen Render

Just a simple kitchen. No project, no client, one still and that’s it. Just wanted to make something simple and nice.
