@_elena@mastodon.social Very well written. Thank you! It is surprising in today's age that news does not include this type of investigative research or thought but instead stops at the 5 sec sound bit that serves a few attention seeking moments vs improving the larger social fabric of life.
Hello, fediverse. First non-buggy post on gabrielmarkley.com after rebuilding the site as a canonical POSSE source — meaning I write here, and the social copies are echoes that link back. More will be coming, but this is me ramping back up after time spent reading, reflecting, researching, and aligning myself with today.
Thank you to @jwildeboer@social.wildeboer.net and @_elena@mastodon.social — you have both reminded me that we have choice…

@mpjgregoire@cosocial.ca @dansup@mastodon.social Agreed when donating so much of your own time and resources you get to pick what you work on when. Thank you for everything you have helped to created.

@remixtures@tldr.nettime.org true but can you relate the concept of a Mentee extrapolating what they learned beyond the defined skill vs the decreasing returns on a skill file and the need to optimize for the agent? One seems to have an exponential growth perspective where the other seems to only have a fixed possible optimization. Very interested in your thoughts...

@dansup It seems people prefer human driven content. Thank you for asking in such an open way.
Privacy is about confidentiality. Independence is about whether I can still operate when the platform I've been renting from decides I can't. Different question. Once asked, it reframes nearly every technology decision a founder or owner-operator makes.
