It's quite simple.

mastodon 4.7.3I'm an engineer in my late-30s, living in the northeast US. I stream games four days a week, I collect pins, I played Magic pre-Ikoria, and I'm a huge dork. I watch LoadingReadyRun, Desert Bus, Dropout, vtubers, and other streamers as my main passive entertainment. I'm LGBTQIA+, and the specifics are private. Nice to meet you!

@Mellivora My "DO NOT POST ABOUT DOING CRIMES" post is raising a lot of questions already answered by my "DO NOT POST ABOUT DOING CRIMES" post.

@WildPowerHammer My advice is mostly about how to be proud, but not be arrested, so unfortunately I do not have good advice for what you should post. Continue to be proud, and know that there are a lot of people who support you. Best wishes. :HeartPride:
Got this in my first 10 packs of the new set. 😁
This week, the Director of AI Safety at Meta gave OpenClaw unrestricted access to her emails. It nuked her inbox, pulled up hundreds of old emails, and deleted them too.
Then, she tried to scold it. AS IF AI CAN FEEL GUILT.
I know you're all *here*, but if you also happen to still have a Facebook or Instagram account, maybe consider who's in charge over there and how competent they are.

Immediately after cancelling stream, my body took over. "Oh hey, we're not busy anymore? Great. We're passing the fuck out and you don't have a say."
Mmkay.
Oh, I finished a Pokemon Blue randomizer today, and I think I've determined that even with emulation speed-up, that game is too long for a one-day Archipelago. Or maybe I got terrible luck on my seed.
Buncha gamers having a gamer chat about how they want all the people they shoot in video games to look as humanlike as possible.
Ugh.
Just give me my cute, colorful, block-based island to decorate and leave me alone.

Okay, I'm finally feeling good enough that I can stream again. So I'm playing more Unbeatable!
Oh. I guess friendly jabs gets me blocked. Alright. No more joking around I guess.
Doing food shopping tonight brought back some memories of being at college, in the grocery store at 2am. It was super quiet then, the only people in the store were restockers and two cashiers.
I miss 24-hour grocery stores.
Well last week sucked a lot, but I'm back and ready to go!
Tomorrow, we're serving ice cream in PlateUp! This week, I'm finishing the Mega Motion Eevee on Monday, making people happy in Is This Seat Taken, and starting episode 4 of Unbeatable.

Not feeling as bad as I did on Monday, but I'd still rather not stream today. Gonna chill on the couch and zone out to some Star Trek or something.

It's now 36 hours after I found out. I've had two nights of sleep to deal with this. And I'm still fucking bummed.
This idea has been floating in my head since August last year, and if I want to try scheduling it again, I now need to wait until 2027.
I'm really trying to find a lesson to learn other than "stop getting excited", "stop trying so hard", "stop caring", or "don't depend on others".
😞
Streaming for 8+ hours makes it take a while to catch up on the Fedi.

"If you don't make a game, you lose your job. If you were making a game, but then an executive decides you have to stop making that game, you lose your job. If you do make a game, but the game isn't successful, you lose your job. If you make a game and it IS successful, you lose your job. If you make a game so successful that you've warped the entire industry to follow in your footsteps, you and nine hundred and ninety nine other people still lose your jobs."

I have some friends who work in the AAA games industry, and some who haven't been able to find work in years. It's hard out there, and I try to do what I can to help, but I'm not in that industry, I don't know anywhere with jobs, and I don't even live near them to offer physical support.
Support the devs. Fuck the CEOs.
I keep seeing mass layoffs in the gaming industry, then I look at all my favorite recent games. Rhythm Doctor, Blue Prince, Is This Seat Taken, Unbeatable, Cobalt Core. These games didn't have teams of managers, they had a few people and a dream. Meanwhile, the AAA industry is fueling managers who don't know how to make good decisions, who don't realize that you don't fire the people who made the most successful game of all time, you keep them for as long as you can.
Buy more indie games.
Hey friends. I just wanna chill off-camera today. And I kinda don't want to clean off my desk for the faux-Lego. So no #stream today.
Yesterday's Archipelago with friends went as expected. I got most of my checks quickly, then two of us with shorter games got stuck at the same time, waiting for the other two to get our key items. We were stuck for like an hour, then ran out of time, so we're continuing in two weeks.
I'm 5 minutes from beating Mario 64, but I need my 2nd floor key, which is at Pokemon Emerald's Victory Road. When we resume, I'm gonna be waiting for hours.
It's a good reason to hang out with friends though 😃

The Creator Helper scammers have made their way to Mastodon. Do not give them money, they are scammers. They will not deliver anything they promise. Block, report, and move on.
Ditto and Hoppip are here to wish you a happy Juice Tuesday!
Finishing this cute as heck Eevee build today!

Oops it's 1am and I'm still awake. So much to do though...
No stream today. Something I've been planning since August is falling apart and I don't want to try to force being happy for stream.
Heller, Molly, and I have two miles to go in RV There Yet!
I'm playing Pokopia all day. Wanna watch?

Getting this out of the way now, since I know what my schedule is next week.
On Monday, I start building the Mega Motion Pikachu, the plastic-block Pikachu building kit that runs! Wednesday is more shuffling seat assignments in Is This Seat Taken, and even more crazy illegal concerts in UNBEATABLE on Friday.

New week, new schedule! Might be some Pokopia bonus streams in here somewhere as well.

Watching Kiara's VOD. "I'm not gonna stream for too long today." One hour into a five-hour VOD.
Pokopia strikes again!
Behold, my new habitat, suitable for four Pokemon, which *definitely* isn't just a warehouse for storing all my stuff
