Lester and his huge whiskers hope you're staying out of the heat, smoke, or any other inclement weather you may be facing today. #TuxedoCat #CatsOfMastodon #WhiskersWednesday #MiezMittwoch

Took a quick snap of this #WildStrawberry flower on my way to the mailbox this afternoon. Didn't even notice the shiny lil' #ant until I zoomed in! Any guesses as to species? Southwest Michigan, US. #BloomScrolling #Insects

I used to think #DataCenters were so cool. As a kid I fantasized about working in one someday. (yeah, I was that kind of kid) Things sure do change...

It's a little embarrassing to admit I've never used PINE before! I can see why it was/is so popular. 📬️ #RetroComputing

Augh...

• Spend 2.5 hours setting up new mail server
• Get receiving and sending (unauthenticated, within LAN) working, complete with DMARC/SPF/DKIM
• Try to figure out how to get authenticated relaying to work
• Follow instructions on #Debian wiki
• Instructions were outdated
• Entire system now FUBAR'd
• sigh
• Reformat and start over

Skipping #Monsterdon tonight to watch some sumo instead. Hope y'all have fun!

@diazona@techhub.social @yatsu@retro.pizza The way I see it, if Miru drops, that gives me permission to stop watching.

#RetroGaming / #RetroComputing frens! I'm trying to track down an old web game. It was a Skee-Ball game (though it wasn't called that), from 1997 or 1998. Used samples from the Windows 3.0 "xylophone" sound clip for audio. I think it was a Shockwave/Director game, but could have been early Flash. Not a lot to go on, but anyone have any ideas?

@klu9@ohai.social I was lucky to be able to get the KungFuSat movie yesterday before it went completely down. It was really struggling.

So I was browsing through audio books on the #InternetArchive a little while ago. Sorted by highest all-time views and... yikes. I feel like my soul has been stained in ways that can never be cleaned. 😨

Been working on curating a collection of old Flash and Shockwave games for my #CGHMN site. I've noticed a trend... Shockwave: mostly made by commercial developers. Pretty much all E-rated. Flash: mostly made by amateurs. Crude content is the norm; hard racism, sexism, general bigotry, toilet humor and bad spelling are omnipresent. #RetroComputing #RetroWeb

I'm always struck by just how freaking thicc jian are. #KungFuSat #SwiftSword

Sounds like music from what would probably be a pretty good C64 game... #Monsterdon #StarOdyssey1979

I've been light on riffs because I'm actually kinda enjoying this movie. It's one of the least-horrible Monsterdons we've had in awhile. #Monsterdon #TheDunwichHorror1970

So, uh, did he just replace one dead wife to obsess over with another? And will she come back as an orange cat? #Monsterdon #MonsterdonDoubleFeature #TheTombOfLigeia1964
