New page on #BurgeonLab ➡️ https://burgeonlab.com/junited-2026/ It's #Junited2026, where you share links to blog posts you enjoyed in the month of June. Re: Axios remote access trojan (RAT)

https://github.com/axios/axios/issues/10636

Luckily I don't use npm much (only #Indiekit) and it wasn't the malicious v1.14.1 or v0.30.4, it was v1.13.2.

Check with `npm list axios` in your /node_modules folder. I also ran `find ~ -type d -path "*/node_modules/plain-crypto-js" 2>/dev/null` to see if the RAT is found any where on my Mac. 🤞Luckily nothing. Scary! Read the full post mortem report above!

@axxuy@pony.social Before I started using #indiekit, I would just write whatever was on my mind on Mastodon. But now that I syndicate note (microblog style) posts from my site to Mastodon, I try to expand on the 'toot' a bit more, giving it some more content. For short updates or other random comments, I will directly post to Mastodon.

@markwyner @hyde Wow, thank you for your high praise (you're too kind) and sharing, Mark. It means a lot coming from someone like you! I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed it; grateful and motivated. 😊 I just checked out your sites, subscribed the old school way. And I must listen to some of your talks and check out your articles! Great stuff. And good luck on your first book too. PS. You described my feelings for Apple perfectly with "... that love has become tolerance with a hint of joy."

I use #mermaidjs diagrams sometimes on my Hugo blog. It came with the theme I had so I learnt to use it. I am not sure when/what caused all my diagrams to all fail on the live site (I just noticed it). I couldn't fix it quickly, so I resorted to using their latest ESM JS via CDN for now.

<https://github.com/mermaid-js/mermaid/releases/tag/mermaid%4011.14.0>

I always try to serve resources locally, but there are lots of chunk files? I'm not familiar with #Javascript and #ESM

#CDN #jsdelivr it is for now. 🤔

Another day, another service down/disrupted. My #Indiekit is hosted on Render's free tier (I'm looking to switch tbh but haven't gotten time yet).

https://status.render.com/

It's down and I can't access my Indiekit NodeJS server 😓

PS. #SourceHut is still not back up. 😓

Always wanted a #pixelart profile pic.
Inspired by @joel@fosstodon.org 's work, I decided to give it a first go at #pixelorama, a really easy to use and neat piece of software by @OramaInteractive@mastodon.gamedev.place.

https://github.com/Orama-Interactive/Pixelorama

I used their reference photo feature to help me get a photo of myself into pixel art. I'm pretty happy at my first go!

Should I change my profile pic to this one? The current one was also drawn by me with #TayasuiSketches on the iPad.

The Dictionary on M1 Mac crashed twice. I ran Disk Utility and my data volume dev/rdisk3s1 was 'found to be corrupt and needs to be repaired'. The log says 'performing deferred repairs', 'it appears to be OK'. But when I run it again the same corrupt message reappears. 😔 In recovery mode, tried running fsck_apfs but can't do anything: 'failed to enable crypto I/O mode for container /dev/rdisk3s1: invalid argument'. Will try turning off fire fault. #Mac #AskFedi #troubleshooting #fsck #apfs

@dletorey Lovely demo today of the changes on your site! I look forward to seeing your implementation of masonry grid layout. There's this experimental CSS for it but I don't think it is usable yet as no browser supports it: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/Guides/Grid_layout/Masonry_layout I personally use a CSS-only carousel on my photo section... maybe it would be nice to offer a masonry / grid view? I'll be keeping an eye on your site ;) Thanks again for sharing at #indiewebcamp, Dave! PS I like the blog post about the event too.

@paulrobertlloyd I narrowed it down to Render.com and Codeberg not playing nicely together. I think that's the cause of my Gitea failed fetch error. Maybe something Codeberg did related to the recent DDOS attacks... And Render apps (which use AWS I think) are therefore also blocked from accessing Codeberg.

@Paul_a_phillips@mastodon.social I have left Lightroom Classic for over a year. Using Digikam for DAM and Darktable for the editing. I'll give Aphera a try as my speed of editing on Darktable never caught back up to my years of LRC experience... It just works significantly differently (it's powerful and capable, but my brain hasn't been able to rewire). @aphera@mastodon.social
