I have always felt most comfortable, most welcomed, most valued as a colleague, when in the company of furries, queer and trans folk, and self-described freaks with their own self-described 'freak flags.'

I've been out of action for a little while: a hospitalisation and lots of follow-up home physical and occupational therapy. But the other day I did manage to hold my phone steady enough to get this beauty of a shot.
Here's to progress, and the effort required to get there.

@mhoye I'd love to eavesdrop on a conversation between @kissane and @mekkaokereke -- though Erin probably prefers to do extensive research beforehand.

@Osmose@digipres.club Damn. I'll miss your posts there, but I completely understand why that would make staying a pain in the ass.

@chicating At the risk of digressing into one of my special interests, Nimoy's influence in Vulcan ritual and its callbacks to Jewish rituals from his youth are some of the things I treasure most about old Star Trek.
I don't consider Vulcans to be "Jews in Space" but the cultural resonance is really nice, and one of the reasons why new Trek falls a little flat for me.
