@enigma@norden.social @rahmstorf@fediscience.org Der Bericht des Club of Rome war zu meiner Mittelstufenzeit erschienen. Diskussionen in der Schule darüber, dass Weitermachen in die Katastrophe führt, waren normal. Bei mir im Münsterland waren die meisten anderen in der JU, aber eigentlich war auch denen klar, dass "was passieren muss". Die meisten haben keine Konsequenzen gezogen. Wer sich einschränkt, ist selbst schuld. 40 Jahre später setzt die Politik weltweit auf mehr Wachstum. Es ist Irrsinn aus Ideologie.

@enigma@norden.social @rahmstorf@fediscience.org Es ging mir darum, dass vor 40 Jahren auch in der konservativen Ecke ein Bewusstsein dafür vorhanden war, dass ein gesellschaftlicher Wandel nötig wäre, dass grenzenloses Wachstum nicht möglich ist. Die Diskussion war Mainstream.

@dascandy @frankboon @Sustainable2050 I found out that most people are very willing to use an encrypted product, if you take them by the hands and install #signal and exchange the first message. Then they find that a lot of their friends already use signal and are relieved that they won't be recognizes as "nerds" in their peer group. As I *just refuse* to use any of the other usual suspect, most can be moved to use signal. The critical mass to bring groups to signal has been reached in the wild.
Die Straßen sind hier leerer als beim WM Finale. Das gibt doch insgesamt Hoffnung!
