Further clarification: It was the warmest October on record over Europe as a whole. And also in quite some individual regions, as shown on the map.

CO2 emissions from fossil fuels hit a record high in 2022. This is up 1% from 2021, and beats the pre-pandemic highs of 2019, according to the new @gcarbonproject report.

The tender criteria for this wind farm focused on system integration. In conjunction with the wind farm RWE will also build 600 MW of electrolysers (for the production of hydrogen), 225 MW of e-boilers for district heating and industry, batteries and floating solar PV.

@DougD@qoto.org Compensating people for high energy bills takes a lot of political attention. Plans are being made to further accelerate renewables but that takes time. People taking energy efficiency measures, but not a real chase by governments yet. Some temporary fallback to coal in electricity.
