@sterophonick@wetdry.world I loooooooooooooooooove insaneintherain!!! This snowman arrangement has been in my favorites for years and years!!

@maddy@thegayagenda.fans cloud providers HATE this ONE SIMPLE TRICK

this happened on discord, where I posted a detailed explanation of some issues I'm working through trying to meet people and how parties aren't quite hitting right now and the two immediate responses I got were... YOU GUESSED IT. PARTIES.

@Emmeline@hoosier.social I generally trust the people in that server. It's a small, regulated community. I honestly think they're just that dumb

@qdot@buttplug.engineer This reminds me of the folder of bookmarks I had with waterfall noise EQ'd to tune out specific co-workers

@luna@lunar.place everyone younger than me is a kid, everyone older than me is a hag

@kitten@social.elizabeth.cat I spent most of my first play party laughing with others about how absurd the whole situation was

@kagihq@mastodon.social This is what my 10$/mo is for

@puppygirlhornypost2 "yeah I play Oldschool RuneScape! How could you tell?"

@Chloe@catwithaclari.net not a solution but minio did just archive their open source version and deprecate it ...

@eniko@mastodon.gamedev.place the crt version are iconic! :fb_wow:

@puppygirlhornypost2 but when was the last time you gave us a cute lil bark on the tl tho? :neocat_think_googly:

@SnugglyBun@mk.absturztau.be @puppygirlhornypost2@transfem.social why not both? :neocat_hyper:

@smolcasm@tech.lgbt try playing league with your friend! It'll do the opposite (30 minutes like 2 hours)

@gavi@bagel.ing if you only host stuff for yourself, it's not too bad :neobread_blep:

@Bard I usually scrounge around thrift shops but that can be really hit or miss

@puppygirlhornypost2 aww!! Proud of you :neocat_floof_devil:

@eri@mk.moth.zone I had fun messing around with those passive air cooled p40s a few years ago. Sure, you can just stick a blower on it but that's no fun!

@admirallazuli in the settings panel there are buttons for exporting your data (for a local back up) and then a migration button. I think the migration page has instructions.

@elmvrey hey friend! Long time no see! :Blobhaj_Heart:

@indigoparadox@mastodon.social @mhoye@mastodon.social @dalias@hachyderm.io @AdrianVovk@fosstodon.org I agree! As a customer, I'm not a huge fan of everything becoming a software as a service, either. As an engineer, I understand why it's so popular: risking lots of money on large, infrequent releases is a tough sell. With that profit model, missing the mark or making mistakes can result in large layoffs or company closures and that sucks. (see: the absolute graveyard of game and software companies from the 90s and 00s before the saas model was widely viable) Other profit models struggle in their own ways. A lot of them require passionate, informed consumers (crowd funding, pay what you want, donation based), others create awful funnels into anti-consumer patterns (ad-supported, user info selling). Microtransactions can be implemented sustainably but usually create misaligned profit incentives(pay for power, no incentive to improve base content). Not that saas is perfect, either. Companies have found all sort of dark patterns to keep customers locked in and that sucks, too. I think the ultimate problem is that the average consumer doesn't care enough to do much more than shell out money when they need something and the average voter isn't invested enough to help legislate companies and keep them in line.
