As someone who likes to see new life brought to legacy #FOSS software, I was very happy to hear about a new fork of GTK2: https://git.devuan.org/Daemonratte/gtk2-ng It includes patches from other #GTK2 forks. There are plans to test out classic #GTK software and a desktop environment with it. #OpenSource #X11 #FreeSoftware #RetroComputing #Linux

Can you imagine your car or smart refrigerator asking for your age? They have operating systems and that's exactly what new age verification laws being proposed and passed are requiring. One calculator OS has already declared it's not for use in California, Colorado, New York and Brazil. Please contact your legislators and let them know what you think of age verification laws.

Age verification isn't just a problem in the US. Brazil has passed an age verification law. Some Linux distros will be restricting access from Brazil. Recent Youtube videos have been discussing the EU's Age Verification app and how it was already hacked just after its release.
