@servo what's the point for a demo browser shell to have a global history? Yes, local history is necessary for back/forward buttons but why does it need an extra list and be unified across window/tab/restart? For privacy reasons, data which doesn't exist, can't be leaked.

If you try running the mainline kernel on most Android hardware, it won't even boot as not even the device tree is available upstream usually. Even if the DT is available, most components won't work as they are also not available in the mainline Linux kernel.
