@Ronnie@mastodon.social I hadn’t until about a month ago. I haven’t tried it. It’s a European based, subscription search engine with a focus on privacy.
Changing my avatar to another summer owl. Thank you to @andycarolan@social.lol for all the owls. I’d always recommend Andy for your creative digital needs. 🦉🎨

@neatnik@social.lol I eye this offer every time that it is mentioned. I consider the move. What stops me is me wondering what I get over my Apple email (and associated services - contacts, calendar). I have been with them for so long now - I still have a mac.com email address.
Please explain to me the benefits that I might find with Fastmail over Apple that would encourage me to part with the $$ and make the move.

@neatnik@social.lol Thank you Adam. I appreciate the reply. I am certainly not happy with Apple’s email in every way - search being one thing - but I have never been sure whether to make the jump. Maybe I should try Fastmail for a year with OMG’s discount, and see how I get on? 🙂

@daj@gofer.social Thank you. You are right. I had not been able to function well for a little while because of the migraine. I think that exasperation with my being incapacitated was also kicking in.

@sherold@mastodon.online Thank you for your thoughtful reply. While I hear you on the self-care aspect of what was going on for me with the migraine, I think that the expeyreminded me of other times when I have felt better and I have not captured thoughts…telling myself that I will remember them later and then don’t.

@alexandra@social.lol Yes, my own worse enemy?! I think that yesterday’s experience reminded me of other, healthier times when I don’t jot a thought down and regret it later.
