@nixCraft Luckily we are part of a silent, but proud group of folks who still enjoy using classic GNU/Linux tools. Me, 40M, I've been a loyal Debian user since 2006 and they'll have to pry it from my dead cold hands if they want to take it away 😆

Make #YouTube great again with the awesome Unhook browser extension.
It works extremely well on both #Firefox:
https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/unhook-remove-youtube-rec/khncfooichmfjbepaaaebmommgaepoid
As well as #Chromium based browsers such as #Vivaldi:

Pair that with a battle-tested adblocker such as #UBlockOrigin and reap the benefits of a much smoother UI.

@daumenlutscher@fedifreu.de There's nothing wrong with sticking to the ESR version of Firefox that ships with Debian. But if you want to upgrade to the latest stable version, you'll be glad to hear that Mozilla hosts their own APT repo where you can get it: https://wiki.debian.org/Firefox#From_Mozilla_APT_repository_.28recommended_by_Mozilla.29

@eris2cats True enough, but you didn't have to say it so harshly. Ouch!

@ada As an Argentinian who's been living next door in Uruguay for the last 4 years, I can confidently say that most people adapt to either type of yerba. One or the other may be more of an acquired taste (not unlike Fernet, the Italian alcoholic drink also enjoyed in both countries) but after seeping from your bombilla a sufficiently high number of times, your taste buds learn to enjoy 'em both. At least that's been my experience so far.

@surfhosting@mastodon.pirateparty.be I'm 100% with you there. The cripplingly anxiety I often feel whenever I make even the most innocent of remarks online, make me question the need to open my virtual mouth in the first place. My advice is the same as yours: escape all toxic social media sites as fast as you can. They are not worth the toll they take from your mental wellbeing.

@Vivaldi@social.vivaldi.net Love the new ability to restrict my pinned tabs to their current domain. Bravo to the entire Vivaldi team 👏

@rnb @nekohayo Was about to propose the same workflow. Using a powerful text editor like #vim that's just 2 commands way (one to make the substitution across the entire file, plus another to save your changes and exit the editor)

@kookie@chaosfem.tw Must be because according to their "all-knowing AI-powered" algorithms, you haven't enjoyed 'em enough yet. Must continue watching until our Google overlords are satisfied!
