@nervengift@fedifreu.de Gibts kein Auto-Translate oder so? Klingt technisch lösbar.
Aber ja, dann ist es doof. Verstehe ich.
Leider finde ich die DE Masto-Community recht... toxisch.

Meet uggsrelay 🕷️
An ActivityPub relay written in Go, with a native mesh that lets independent relays work together!
🕸️ Native Mesh:
Join through a seed relay, discover peers automatically and keep verified reserve connections ready.
🤝 Share the work
In a healthy, connected mesh, one relay delivers to each instance—with automatic failover between relays that instance subscribes to.
📦 Keep a second copy
With a synchronized mesh partner, public events are stored on two relays before the incoming request is acknowledged. Signed, replicated delivery receipts let relays share which destinations accepted delivery.
No central leader or shared database required between relays. Your instance still speaks ordinary ActivityPub—the coordination happens between the relays.
There’s also a web admin interface, durable delivery queues and an interactive network map to see how it all connects.
UggsRelay is fully compatible to all Fediverse Protocols as well as inter-relay meshing both conventional and UggsRelay Mesh!

@schneier@robot.villas Holy moly. My icon on Mastodon.
I have been following you all the way back to university times, like 2004/05ish. Your books and essays got me into security and IT.
I did an inside Twofish for university work. Which made me realize: Not all things pretty on the outside I need to understand the inside of. #math
The usual Books. Including Beyond Fear from... 2005?
Yes, I missed every opportunity you were in Germany to see you live.
Anyway. Hey! 👋

@jensorensen@mastodon.social But.. But there are steps in between in "Electronic Communication" and "writing a letter like it's 1850.".
Print Media? From news happening to receiving a printed copy.. Just takes too long.
Nonono. Technology is awesome. Just learn how to use it - and what to use. Right tool for the right job. Not all tools at once!
And please, no drilling holes in heads to relief a headache...

Also any judgement without being impartial is not a judgement. This is exactly the way justice systems work. Even the most vile criminal gets defence in any legal system.

@CatDragon@mastodon.world @amiserabilist@beige.party Get off your high horse.
If you'd really consider this you would have to view the issue at hand from all three persons perspective: The rapist, the mother and the child.
Consider pro's and con's for each individual. Then weigh their cons against each other.

@Daveosaurus@mastodon.nz @jensorensen@mastodon.social Then buckle in!
Average year salary in the 1850's was about ~£60–£100/year. Let's go with £80/year. Today we do about £35,000/year. (both rough ballpark).
So you would spend...
- 0.0104% of annual income for one mailing in the 1850s.
- 0.0099% of annual income for one mailing today.
So adjusting for raised salaries, you pay the same. And for a 0.005% increase in cost you get technology. I stay right here.

@gamingonlinux@mastodon.world I consider my rig a Gaming PC: And i explicitly went for all-black edition without any useless LEDs.
I don't want my PC to look like a christmas tree.
Plus, True Black Monitor. Why would iI want to light pollute the room and void myself of pitch black effects?
Pff.
