@georgebaily @argentumcation it reminds me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTrszcsaCxI&t=0

@rl_dane@polymaths.social @codemonkeymike@fosstodon.org @frameworkcomputer@fosstodon.org I did not test much typing on it so idk. I don't think it will be a problem though cuz I haven't experienced any palm rejection problems on modern laptops.

@codemonkeymike@fosstodon.org @frameworkcomputer@fosstodon.org I can also confirm that the touchpad is very good and the laptop overall feels solid and high quality. I like the color of the keyboard keys. I tested the battery and it went to 3.14W with min brightness, barely any apps open, 60 Hz, Wi-Fi on, and power save on. I think Linux users are gonna be impressed by its battery life.

@Gargron@mastodon.social @codemonkeymike@fosstodon.org @aglimme@mastodon.online the one reason to password lock the bootloader would be to DETER theft if people know it will be useless to them to steal it. But there should definitely be an option given to the device owner to disable this.

@coreforge@furry.engineer so the raspberry pi gets access to all the pcie devices that a computer with that AMD motherboard would otherwise get? Is it like a USB hub but it's PCIe?

@codemonkeymike@fosstodon.org I think you should ask MrChromebox about this.

@frameworkcomputer big kid version of raspberry pi 400.

@britter the website presented itself as a commercial product so I'm not surprised.

@coreforge@furry.engineer how does this work? What part of the raspberry pi did you connect wires to?

@LisaKalayji@infosec.exchange it appears that media uncritically repeating whatever the government says also happens in France, not just the US.
