“I've chosen to embrace all the things that I cannot change
But I'm not sure if this helps to relieve you from bitterness.”

Interesting, but I think this over-reaches a bit. Pop culture (especially music) might be particularly homogeneous, but that is pop’s nature, and has been since (at least) The Beatles. I’m not really convinced algorithmic playlists make this worse than pop radio DJs
#nowplaying Obscura - A Sonication
These guys are touring in a month or so - checking them out to see id they’re worth seeing.
RE: @eastblocvisuals@zpravobot.news
They don’t make shopping bags like this any more!
(Also love the just “casually holding 10kg of squirming infant in one hand while wearing heels and selecting vegetables” thing - impressive grip strength).
Just started watching The Fall. The first episode is excellent - hopefully the rest of the series lives up to it.
#nowplaying KYLESA - Static Tensions
I don’t think I’ve listened to Kylesa before. Why haven't I listened to Kylesa before?? This seems very much up my alley.

Masters of the Universe was pretty cool. Or, at least, it effectively played on my nostalgia. I had fun and, considering the rather thin plot, it didn’t feel 2+hrs long.
Book synchronicity is strange - I just finished a book set in Baltimore, and the new book I just started opens in Baltimore.
Just finished Breathing Lessons by Anne Tyler. I’m fairly sure I would have found it boring if I’d read it 10 years ago - it’s light on plot, and the characters aren’t exactly likeable. I enjoyed it though - it reminded me somewhat of Franzen’s The Corrections in that regard.
Of course tonight is ending in a youtube hole of Born Slippy covers.. but I came across this and really, really wish it went for more than 1:48.

I finished Hurwitz’s Orphan X yesterday. Action/thriller isn’t usually my genre of choice (though I did like Farrugia’s Fifth Column series).
It was a pretty good holiday read - I finished it in a couple of days. I’m not sure I’m ready to invest my time into the full series, though.
Call me late to the party, but I’m listening to/watching Sara Landry for the first time and loving her https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EIQlDpgAY5Y

(I’m not a huge You Am I fan but this sporadically gets stuck in my head)
@buffyleigh@mas.to I’ve started a few times and gotten bogged down. Maybe next time I’ll make it through…
#nowplaying Red Dwarf Star - LP1
Catching up on Pelagic releases. This ok so far, though hasn't really won me over.
