@EUCommission or, deal with the SW problem so those phones can be used for other things. force vendors to release technical documentation for outdated phones so we can build SW for it ourselves. and I don't mean only soc, but also actuators, cameras etc

in #climatechange news I yet have to read news where scientists guessed correctly.

it is always 'worse than we thought '. every single one ...and it's never 20% worse but exponentially worse.

If they say it takes 50y for polar caps to melt or for #AMOC to stop, I'm thinking we are lucky if this survives until 2035.

@servo can you make some basic use / demo using something like #gpui or #iced? We can then start to use some 'normal' GUI Toolkit to build stuff around the browser engine...

anybody knows the state of samsung #s20fe with #snapdragon (r8q) regarding #postmarketos?

wiki says: "This device has been tested with postmarketOS, but its device package has not yet been added to the postmarketOS repositories."

@grooovinger@mastodon.social Two bugs to report about web interface:

1. add 10 products to a wishlist (I used products from the same category), choose sort by preis (aufsteigend). then remove a product e.g. from the middle - sorting gets broken

2. go to a category Like Mainboards/am4. in the product grid click on one products hamburger button. then choose add to wishlist and select an existing list - finishes ok. without changing screen, repeat on a different product + same wishlist - fails.

@FrodeO@snabelen.no @Tutanota@mastodon.social and on the attached image, #proton is in #EU category. I don't mind that proton is in the list, it's actually probably one of the best google alternatives. Just label it accordingly since we need to know what we support. And I'm not really interested in supporting something that's not EU. Or Hungary.

#mistralai is available only for contact if you are press. social presence is only on #LinkedIn, #discord and #x. not a single #eu based service.

there was recently some project (or a user) that claimed porting of #grapheneos to non-pixel devices. anybody know the name?

Note: I am aware of the security shortcomings of this approach.

@grooovinger thanks. for point 2 - a workaround: click the product, then on a product detail page click again add to wishlist and then it works

@chergert@my.devsuite.app hey christian, what is the policy of ptyxis regarding copy-on-select?

I see that you refused a few times to do anything about this and the only way to deal with this now is ctrl-shift-c/v.

is there some sane reason (like security) why this is not an option?

syncing standard clipboard and selection clipboard was super useful in tilix and I still miss it. now, f44, even the selection clipboard doesn't work

@ozzelot@mstdn.social @saxnot@chaos.social @algernon@come-from.mad-scientist.club @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu Let's say we don't have weapons. What would have happened to Ukraine? What would have happened to Poland? Germany? Russians have shown some maps with the Russian border being somewhere in Germany.

So, you see, weapons are useful. They have prevented Ukraine to become Russia. They have also (probably) prevented Poland from becoming Russia.

Replying to
@ozzelot@mstdn.social @saxnot@chaos.social @algernon@come-from.mad-scientist.club @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu that's true, I agree. unfortunately, in the world we live in, weapons are necessary. so, to come back to the original point, even if we don't want to do it, Russia, China and the USA work on AI weapons. if we don't, we can only throw humans in the battlefield when (if?) next conflict starts. I'd rather we have an equivalent if not a better response. don't bring a knife to a gunfight.
