The whole concept to me seems ripe for abuse and intimidation. Especially in the current climate. I question whether they should be permitted. Certainly not in a country with as a poor a record on teaching civics as the UK is.

I am a huge fan of Linux on the desktop, and FOSS in general.
But FOSS-people in my experience are disproportionally to the wider population just utter weirdos who do more damage to their cause than any of user-hostile shit that the closed source corporations can manage.

I did make this point myself elsewhere. Sadly yes..there are tonnes of people out there who are cool with AMAZING levels of cruelty but draw the line specifically at CSAM.
