That feeling when everyone else was asked to the party that sounds good to you personally in theory but they know that inviting you means your entire trash panda chaos friend group and they don't have either the seats, the snacks, or the patience to deal with you all ✨🦝👻
Anyone else in the "What crawled in the attic and is now mummifying in the heat dome?" part of summer?
Close the laptop, go outside, touch grass, then maybe eat some grass, and vomit it back up on the bedspread. - @baconandcoconut@freeradical.zone closing out with advice on how to handle people being wrong on the Internet #NBPy 🐍☁️
"You know you can't cuddle a raccoon, right, Charlie?"
"Not with that attitude you can't."
“Gentrification is about the restriction of land,” he says.
“What’s happening is people taking land away and putting a physical barrier around it so it can be given to people who will pay. Any time that happens, that is gentrification.”

I get the chaining is interesting but PAT are a known problem for the fucked up world that has yet to differentiate between agent-bot-user permissions and access.
Agents are indeterministic and therefore can never be trusted.
Bots can be deterministic, but should never be given user scopes.
Users are just fucking wild cards always, so thars not new.
Honored and excited to see everyone again this spring. The global Python community is my open source home and closest friends. I've never been more nervous for an event 💖
Listening to @kattni@kattstodon.com walk through her journey working through highs and lows as an open source contributor, core maintainer, and how trust cannot be taken for granted in collaborative relationships. #NBPy 🐍☁️
"Taking care of people is the exception in open source, but you can be the exception."
It's alive ⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
Deeply appreciate the opportunity from #NBPy to bring together these ideas with such a thoughtful and deeply experienced audience.
I got an email from a former teammate and legitimately forgot until this moment that I played on a team which won two collegiate club women's lacrosse national championships.
When my kiddos have friends over, my corgi herds them around until they reach her preferred state for all tiny ones of quietly lined up on the couch reading a book 🤣

The urgency, inclusive approach, and specific framing of your talk was critical to the overall discussion for this event, and for our collective work moving forward. Deeply appreciate all you bring 💛
Women's sports don't need to be protected from trans girls or women.
Women's sports need to protect trans girls and women from those who want to exclude, police, or harm them.
That's the point of women's sports spaces and communities - solidarity, safety, and support for all girls and women 💖

Can confirm that high schoolers + middle schoolers around me use "AI" or "ChatGPT" as synonymous with "liar liar pants on fire" or "untrustworthy and not to be believed".

@emilymbender@dair-community.social @alex@dair-community.social Would really love that legislator energy coming back in to Vermont to solve state-wide challenges in both failing health care and education systems.

"Freedom of navigation has been treated not as a privilege to be sold, but as a right to be defended. The young republic’s first military intervention — the quasi-war with France — was fought in part over interference with American shipping. Soon after, the U.S. confronted the Barbary pirates, refusing to pay tribute for safe passage and instead using force to establish the principle that commerce should move freely across the seas."
