@KydiaMusic My nephew has his Dad’s turntable but had zero clue how to work it correctly, fix the needle or clean the record to reduce static noise. My husband and I were more than happy to educate and even though neither of had used a record in sometime it was like riding a bike. Also fun to share the experience with someone who’s genuinely into music played on vinyl.

@ilovecomputers I feel this in every fiber of my being. I weep for every generation that has come after me that they will never know the peace of just getting to be without being tracked, monetized and fed into a perpetual rage machine.

@RickiTarr@beige.party My mom was actually a pretty good cook and taught all six of us how to cook at very early ages. My Dad was military so we moved around a lot and got introduced to a wide variety of foods. My mom would try recipes from cookbooks that military wives had put together. Recipes from all over the world. Some of it was amazing…other times, not so much. It helps to have access to the right ingredients which was not always the case. Honestly, we were pretty lucky.
