@kottke This is, as everything Bouie writes, excellent. I do, however, worry about weakening the court too much, as it needs to 1) reverse the damage the Roberts court has done, and 2) remain as part of a coequal branch of the federal government, especially considering how much inordinate power they’ve handed the executive. The idea of a national appeals court, however, is intriguing. I also think lifetime tenure ought to be reconsidered.
