@chemoelectric @KevinFreitas I think to a degree the AI laptops didn't sell as well as they expected. Added to that the perfect [sh*t]storm that most needed a minimum RAM spec, while there is a run on RAM so might have seen issues sourcing said RAM for the BOM and/or hike the prices more. A mess potentially of their own making.

@davidrevoy very interesting. I have a side project that I’ve been noodling at on Krita for that last few years. Still unsure about publishing, this DTP tool for Linux is worth a look, at least if I see what my stuff would look like.

@jimbob@aus.social Can't say that I get this vide coding thing [I'm not a programmer, I was only ever good at microcontroller assembler in my tertiary education]. This reminded me though of Jenson Huang's reported position on coding is that no one should bother trying to learn it anymore and just use AI. Again not a coder but to me that seemed to be spectacularly wrong-sighted. Do we not bother to learn how to write too?

So I recently had to, somewhat briefly go back to an older MacBook Pro because my current one had an unfortunate coffee-related incident. Other than having to having to choose between an external monitor or my Cintiq I thought "why not install the latest version of Krita, what could possiblie go wrong".
Well I had to deal with the change to text editing. I had a more manual way of making speech bubbles and initially couldn't get my head around it so I started looking into vector objects. After looking about I decided to stick with the nifty collection from David Revoy. A quick looking around for a tutorial solved my issue with wanting them to have a border since I'm doing B/W illustration.
The problem I have now is a bit of perhaps OCD on how efficient the text flows within speech bubbles and I'd like the space to be better used, particularly it seems the first word always seems to occupy the first line all by itself, maybe there's something different to do. #Krita
