I went to a gas station today to fill with diesel. It was a trucker's station, and I drive a car so I got *the looks* and *the advice* when I got there. When I finally found a nozzle which fit my car and started filling up, I commiserated with the guy across from me and the station attendant. The guy was obviously drinking the kool-aid. He said his fuel charges were just a write-off and the prices didn't bother him. He also said, "they're bringing the prices down real fast, they just dropped $.40 last week!". The attendant looked at him like he was full of shit (he was). She asked him where he got his info (she was a gas stations attendant, mind you!) and he said he saw lower prices down the road down south. Yet, when we were paying the attendant, he asked if he could switch bills with me. The world is full of bad accountants.
