This is the bookbinding project I'm most excited about this year, all finished! It's an Australian piano hinge book, and I learned how to make it from Sarah Matthews during #SketchbookRevival2026. You can see more photos of this project on my Patreon page, including pics demonstrating how pages can be added, removed, or rearranged, which is what makes this book design so special:

My poetry comic "Agoraphobia Masked" is included in the zine Substrata! It's a beautiful little zine made by and for the #ChronicIllness community, and I'm honored to be a part of it. This edition includes #poetry, #art, #comics, articles, a playlist, and more. It's produced by the company Buoy, which makes a variety of electrolyte drops, and the #zine is included for free with every order.

@rustyferris@mastodon.sdf.org @imaginaryuncle@masto.nu 90's Gen-Xer? *raises hand* Hello to you both! I'm not exactly new here, but feel like I'm still trying to get a better feel for it. But it feels quieter and more sane over here, or at least my feed does. Welcome to both of you!

@jansandstorm@mastodon.art THIS! Yes. The other related magic moments for me are when the way I planned to do something isn't working, and I have to figure out some other way to get there. This breaks me out of my normal ways of thinking and always makes the work better.

CONTENT WARNING: comic about rape, abuse, gendered violence, and "monsters".

Let's do away with the dangerous myth of obvious villains.

1. You can't pick abusers out of a crowd.
2. Someone you know who's perfectly lovely in one context might be abusive in another - people rarely present as Rapey McMonster, and
3. It's even possible to commit sexual violence without thinking of oneself as a person who commits sexual violence. Consent education matters.

I wrote about this in more detail with an earlier version of this comic:
