@Juankprada@mstdn.jp I'm under the impression that artists don't earn much. And having kids doesn't allow for much flexibility. If you really really are fed up with programming, I think that you should work to reduce your expenses to absolute minimum first and check what is lowest amount of money you need to make, this will give you better insight on what is possible and what is not. When changing job you usually search for better offer first and resign from your current one later. I'm not sure how to translate it to working as artist, tho.

@YaLTeR@mastodon.online Woah! 🤩 I totally haven’t expected such level of flexibility from this!

@lina Don’t! It will result in one less person who cares!

@LukaszHorodecki Gratulacje! Szczerze mówiąc, to zaskakuje mnie widok takich liczb na polskim fedi.

@veronica Yeah! I'm using Debian both on my server and laptop, and I'm using Arch on my PC. This way I can play with new versions of software and enjoy stability of Debian when I need to. But today, with Flatpak and containers anyone can have latest software on Debian, with isolation from rest of the system, so apps will not break anything.

Our cats are relentlessly trying to eat our houseplants. So, we decided to plant grass in a plastic box for them. But instructions were unclear, I guess 🙃 #cats #pets #Caturday

And my little princess looking pretty, to balance out the goofy cat. #cats #pets #Caturday

Kayaking with a doggy 😜

IMHO the biggest problem with #IRC was missing the native chat history and I kinda would like to have a simpler way to post screenshots etc. So I really like #IRCv3 🤩 I don't have a real, serious opinion on #Matrix, #MatrixProtocol, tho. I've heard bad things about it and I personally think it's either a little buggy or really confusing. I've tried to verify new device and despite doing the emoji thingy multiple times it still was shown as unverified, so I was forced to do account reset… Except this one problem it works for me, and communities I want to chat with are there, so I'm using it. But all of those protocols are just means to communicate with other people for me. I'm done with forcing myself to use something just because I think it is technically superior. People first, protocols next. But I would need really, really important people for me to use something closed-source, like Discord or something like this. I'm using #WhatsApp, because it's where all my family and friends are, and I managed to move only a few people to Signal. It's problematic because they also have their friends and families, and usually I'm their only one contact on #Signal, so over time they start forgetting about Signal and start messaging me on WhatsApp again… Network effect sucks 🤬 #messagers

I've just got invitation to this year's parents-teachers chat from my son's preschool, on WhatsApp... And only online (there is a physical bulletin board in school) space where announcements are is Facebook of course... I'm pretty sure that The Evil Corp has more to say in my country than its actual goverment.

@kde@floss.social Ugh! It hit me right in my nostalgia!

@jaqqqln@girlcock.club Ugh. I feel sorry for you! Insomnia runs in my family, and I've had my share of such episodes. No screens before sleep and cover your windows tighly. I'm also using 10mg of malatonin in bad cases, max available dosage is 5mg so I'm taking 2 of them.

@mbt3d@graphics.social Preferred means of communication: DM me on fedi 😜 I have my own email server but I'm using it mainly for mailing lists and as professionally looking signature for git commits. When I mention someone that they can email me they give me weird looks. Corporations and spammers made people hate emails. I'm not even sure if I can send emails to big providers, as sans mailing list, last time I've send email from personal address was years ago.

@gotosocial@gts.superseriousbusiness.org Why there is no link to donation page on https://gotosocial.org/ Or I failed to find it? I've learned how to donate to GoToSocial today… I've found info about it in docs, but I searched for it knowing what to look for. I think it should be in much more prominent place 😉

@NullTheFool@mastodon.gamedev.place 😍

@RustyNova@mastodon.social Shit, due to avatar colors I've always imagined the black one...

@RustyNova@mastodon.social I stand corrected then!

@drew@social.freebitcoin.gay bubbles.town is slopware? Damn you cannot trust anything today…

@ariadne@social.treehouse.systems So, in your opinion Alpine is cooked now? It seems bad that both Debian and Alpine decided to lose trust of users… Do you have any alternatives on mind?

@mgorny@social.treehouse.systems Damn, XFCE too? 🤬

@juliensueur@social.vivaldi.net @mbt3d@graphics.social Nobody I know uses Wire, so I only was aware that something like it exists. Given how much resistance moving from The Evil Corp's WhatsApp meets, I don't think I'll ever have chance to use it.

@juliensueur@social.vivaldi.net @mbt3d@graphics.social I've tried it with Signal. Didn't work. I'm throwing towel.
