Friends. I've been chatting with Avi Lewis about a presence in the Fediverse — Mastodon. They are getting closer to taking this step, & YOU are needed. Why does this matter? If we have wished that governments would leave corporate US social media capture, we need more champions. Polite appeals aren't enough. Every new party leader in the Fediverse is a win for digital sovereignty, thus it is an act of defence & patriotism for #Canada, #Greenland, #Venezuela to move leaders to the Fedi. #cdnpoli

Why cancel the #F35 & buy the 🇸🇪 #Gripen? A big big reason gets missed. In July, 2025, a plane was "hijacked" at Victoria Airport (YYJ) & flown to Vancouver (YVR). The 🇨🇦 Air Force base was too far away, requiring Canada to call on the USA to respond. The #F35 requires centralized & specialized bases, which will likely only worsen this scenario in the 2nd largest country. The #Gripen can be based almost anywhere & thus be closer to airports like YYJ/YVR. It's a better fit for 🇨🇦 #Cdnpoli #canpol

In response to the US cuts to #PBS and public services, Canada should dedicate defence funding to the #CBC, #healthcare and the arts as our best national defence against the imperialists to the south. 5%+ on defence = spending on that which actually keeps us from becoming more Americanized (we just need to see these things as 'defence'). #cdnpoli #Canada #yyj

In the 2024 Saskatchewan provincial election, some NDP seats were won by razor-thin margins: Regina University (~176 votes), Saskatoon Westview (~263), Regina Walsh Acres (~300). Power/influence means aligning resources with needs. MLAs need re-election. Voters hold votes. In seats this tight, organized, visible constituents carry weight.
