From what I've heard, it's because of the Archive promoting antisemitism, but I don't care what reason the hackers give - it's still stupid.
Let it be known that there is also Jewish stuff on the Archive. There is also Christian stuff. And Satanic, Buddhist, Shinto, etc. Did they not consider that Archive.org archives everything they legally can, from many countries around the world? It doesn't matter what you believe in, or what excuse you give for doing it, a DDOS attack benefits NO ONE. Not even the attacker.

Something like "Here's some free posts, but to see everything, you need to have a free membership, i.e. an active Patreon account." That way, I can stay free while limiting viewership to actual account owners (thus possibly mitigating spammers and trolls on my account).
