been meaning to write CGA code, why not do it on a CGA machine
going to attempt to use the IDE, finding the T1000 LCD does tend to be unusable with most default color schemes, even the "mono LCD" options and you gotta tweak every one
peak MS-DOS
we're in the era of a config program PATCHING THE IDE BINARY!!!
thar that looks good

we're demoscene up in here so lets hit that hardware directly
cribbing from my djgpp VGA code, lets get us a plotpixel
can we port munching squares
welp 4 colors just isn't enough for the xor pattern to be interesting
we gotta get clevererer
true plotpixel is way slow we can't be read-modify-writing all the time
we gotta unroll
okay what if we just blast four or two pixels pairs like some kind of dither pattern
oh yeah now we're getting somewhere
nelfs are bewildered by my code

holy crap its march? i have an excuse to fix my quadra :blobcheer:
anyway i was an ADHD idiot and let my domain expire LITERALLY YESTERDAY so im currently in a battle to transfer it away from squarespace and get it up again 🙏
@thephd@pony.social all my makefiles output an assembly listing and i like to look for instructions that look awkward or stuff that isn't being held in registers and find ways to help the compiler do better
maximizing those generous register files is critical for fast 68000 code and modern RISC code as well
inline all the things
