Violets are native here/ubiquitous. I cleared out an area out back to plant w/ native plants but left these in place. Seem to be thriving after cleaning out competitors like creeping Charlie 👍.

I started this wildflower garden from seed about 3 yrs ago. Scattered seeds in patches but had some happy accidents like this yellow coneflower popping up amid the purple coneflowers & the random prairie blazing star stalk in the foreground.

Never used my Instagram account (20 posts, 2 followers) b/c it was just a place holder for my handle. Got it during the period when a lot of photographers were leaving Instagram for pre-Musk Twitter b/c Zuckerberg, who hasn't had an original idea since he decided to rate female students that would never date a weirdo like him in a million years, decided to make Instagram the "new" TicTok.
I'd like to think my deleting my Instagram account yesterday contributed to this👇

I love that about insects too. Watched several docs where they used ultraviolet light to show what flowers look like to an insect. Some of the transformations are amazing👍

They're pretty low key.
When the crow murders gather together in winter you can come across a group of 50-100 in one tree. I love crows but it really feels like a scene from Hitchcocks "The Birds". Very spooky!

Thank you! They have amazing personalities and they are great at striking poses. It was a very odd flashing of its tail so it was hard to tell but it looks like a male so it may have been flashing its tail to females or to ward off other males.

The plants wee seeded 3 yrs ago but they didn't flower until this year. Some of our native plants require 2-3 years of growth before blooming.
