So a woman popped out asking what I was looking for and I told her. Well she happened to be the local mail person and she said it was the house across the street. And it was. Yay. Problem solved.
Except it was the wrong house number. 220 does not equal 221 so why would you leave the groceries there? And doesn't the addition of an apt. number suggest that maybe.... just MAYBE you might wanna drive across the street to the apartment complex visible from the road?

Which transformer layout do you prefer? The one with the straight transformers, or the one with the angled transformers?
I'm posting a poll next so you can answer there.
Welp, the last time I saw NASA splash down a crewed capsule was the Apollo Soyuz Test Project some 50 years ago. It's LONG LONG LONG overdue that we go to the moon.
Lots of feels.
Phew! Found it.
I can't decide is on v2 of my Millett tube preamp I should use ON and OFF at the power switch or 1 and 0.
I need the blue Loctite.
I forgot to post this last week:
The Woke Warriors must be SUPER pissed about last week's episode of Star Fleet Academy.
Not only was the Klingon wearing something that they would call a dress, it seems as though he has a boyfriend.
I don't follow much conventional media so I can only hope they're crashing out left and right.
I'm watching an (old) episode of Space: 1999, and Peter Cushing (Grand Moff Tarkin) is playing an alien in this one. I believe this episode is from 1976. I wonder if he had filmed any scenes yet in that film that would take the world by storm the next year.
I need the blue Loctite.
Just beautiful.
Watching some old episodes of NYPD Blue. I've had a bit of a Breaking Bad sweepstakes. I've seen Anna Gunn, Aaron Paul, and Dean Norris, so far.
OMG. More proof that the US's collective IQ is dropping.
I had to do an instacart for some groceries, and I live in an apt. complex, HENCE THE APARTMENT NUMBER ON THE FRICKIN ADDRESS.
I get a notice that my groceries were delivered (I was in the kitchen. I saw nothing) and the picture of the door wasn't mine.
So I reported it and started looking around the complex, to see if anyone had a door like that.

Welp, this is bad. Another person who presented themselves as a legitimate roommate candidate, has no money.
I am seriously going to be homeless in 6 weeks if I can't find someone.

(obviously you have to remove all of the spaces)
Rewatching these NYPD Blue eps has triggered other memories from that time. When season 1 was happening I had gotten a small cash influx from my grandparents, so I ordered a ZEOS Pentium 90 (complete with FDIV bug, and don't ask me how much it cost!).
The rep from ZEOS was really cool and it turned out she was a huge NYPD Blue fan also, so we would talk about the show.
I always wondered what happened to that woman. We had such fun talking on the phone.
They're giving the GOALIE a Medal of Freedom because he made some saves??
Wow
@cs@mastodon.sdf.org That post was a two parter. Not sure if you saw part 1.
For me there is nothing more important than loyalty.
I'm working on v2 of the Pete Millet mic preamp. I've had the parts to mostly finish it for about a year, but kept it on the shelf for no good reasons. But I've needed to do something to take my mind off the stress of these last few months so I took it off the shelf.
Both main PCBs (the yellow ones) are "permanently" mounted, and I mounted the female input XLR's. I also wired them to the inputs of both boards. It's coming along slowly but surely.

Friends, my roommate bailed on me with almost no notice, and I am trying to raise funds to to be able to stay where I am. Rent here is crazy and I can't afford it alone, so I am trying to raise 3 months of their share until I can find and vet a new roommate.
I had my first roommate interview a few nights ago. They texted me and told me they were on their way and never showed up.
If you wish to help out, please, my Paypal is:

Damn it. Life has been so hectic I managed to not even watch the Artemis launch today. One thing I always enjoy is space related stuff and I knew it was coming soon but I missed it. Shit.

I won't have all the rent for next month and that of course is due in about 4 weeks. Please help if you can.

This is one of the precision potentiometers I'll be using in my tube preamp build. They are stepped (like 24 or 27 steps) made with precision film resistors on a small circuit board in there with the stepping mechanism.
I want to get rid of the little nubby sticking up on each pot. I don't have the tools to do this anymore so I'm looking for any suggestions that you might have. I want to get rid of the nubby without damaging the rest of these beautiful things.
This is hot. Beck on guitar, Rhonda Smith on bass, and Anika Nilles on drumes (who will be with Rush on their upcoming tour).
If you really want to support one of the "good guys" running for congress, please support Kat Abughazaleh. She's a Palestinian woman who believes in the kind of progressive values that *I* believe in, anyway. Healthcare for all, abolish ICE, get AIPAC out of our politics. What's happening in Gaza in a genocide, etc...
There's a quick youtube short below about her, and the donation link below that.

OK, I'm just gonna say it. Angine de Poitrine is cool and interesting, but the drummer is BY FAR the weak link.
I did a little more wiring on this tube mic preamp. It's almost completely wired. The panel you see is only a stand-in to make sure all of the switches and knobbies would fit without issue. The panel is the right size with the right holes that a friend with a waterjet at his metalshop cut for me for testing purposes. The real front panel will be thicker (either 3mm or 1/8th inch) and decorated with color and lettering and such.

Yesterday, after work, at about 6 PM my doorbell rang 3 times VERY fast. I was unwinding after work and relaxing upstairs, so it took me a moment to get my mojo going to answer the door. When I opened the door there was no one there, but there was a cardboard box with 5 quarters in it, at my feet. And no this is not an April Fools post because this happened yesterday.
So what's up with that? Who left me $1.25 and why?
Beloved kitty Spike passed over the Rainbow Bridge about an hour ago. She was 21 and it was time. We had a pretty good run together. I knew this day was coming for the last 6 months or so, so I was better able to handle it.
