Sadly, when we see Dems choosing to *not* message appropriately, the way an opposition party can be expected to message when they have a golden opportunity, there's a reason for that.
It's not because "both parties are the same". That's a very lazy trope, and that people who say that misunderstand the carefully managed nuance which sustains the duocracy. It's absolutely crucial that nothing fundamentally changes, lest the careful balance be disrupted.

In a similar vein, it's rarely mentioned how Obamacare was basically Romneycare was basically the Heritage Foundation's plan for a healthfully profitable health insurance system for the US. I doubt as many people knew in 2008 what the Heritage Foundation was, way back then.. it was really project 2025 that made them more famous recently.
