- the rights of the LGBTIQ+ community are human rights;
- races do not exist, we are all equally human;
- immigrants have the same human rights as you or me or anyone else;
- science-based medicine works and vaccines are the most important creation of humanity;
- etc. (you get the idea).
Bigots, fascists, "genAI" lovers, and all other anti-human grifters are immediately blocked!

@Gargron@mastodon.social 😆 such an email deserves a response, something like:
Short answer: no
Long answer: never
All caps answer: ARE YOU CRAZY!? 😆

@_thegeoff Clarke wrote on the author's note of 2010 that the Apollo 8 crew confessed to him they considered the idea of reporting the finding of a huge black monolith on the far side of the Moon (they already had seen 2001)

@johncarlosbaez@mathstodon.xyz not sure what's more infuriating, the tech bros trying to destroy what make humans humans, or the huge number of professionals that should know better, but nevertheless go along with all the nonsense saying "cool, let's do it"

@astro_jcm I don't think it's that surprising. Those on the first group are usually white dudes that think that everything that's not a white dude is inferior to them, so it seems to me it's not that strange that they consider all those new things they do not understand belong to the set of old things they never understood, such as being something different from a white dude. In fact, that particular white dude you're referring to assigned a female pronoun to that particular piece of code...

@existentialcomics@mastodon.social I don't think they are any good at mimicking humanity either; in fact, they depend exclusively on the techno-enthusiasts' strong confirmation bias

@cos@fosstodon.org @libreoffice@fosstodon.org When loading a non-native file format, LibO translate it into its own internal representation, you never really work on the non-native format, you always import/export it, which means that after a few rounds you can get a messy file. On any program, it's always better to work with the native format. Also, using Writer to write a markup file is like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut 😉 Better use a lean, quick markup editor and only at the end import it for the final touches.

@cos@fosstodon.org @libreoffice@fosstodon.org just import/export. A feature request asking for ui support was recently closed as "won't fix" (rightly so, IMO).

@Tutanota kind of off-topic, but it seems that Tuta Mail's f-droid version (328.260224.0) is lagging behind the play-store version (331.260224.0), any reason for this?Thanks!

@godpod I suggest changing euphemisms such as "legacy media" for something more descriptive like "billionaire propaganda broadcasters & cover ups" or similar.
