@bluejay@ohai.social @vicgrinberg@mastodon.social I think it has more to do with how bright stars in front of dark clouds of the Milky Way stand out at a dark observing site. I've heard from a number of people who had that impression after observing from observatories on the Atacama desert and I have it there as well. Was it really that dark in the Artemis capsule, though?

@astro_jcm When configured nicely a modern Alpine is still way faster to react and use than e.g. Thunderbird. There are very few mails with very complex HTML content that it does not handle well.

@pikarl @ThomasKrumenacker @riffreporter Verstehe ich nicht. Warum soll die Waldbedeckung vor Millionen von Jahren heute relevanter sein als die (wohl sehr viel dichtere) vor z.B. 5000 Jahren? (Finde das Interview übrigens furchtbar, die Methoden seiner Erkenntnisse werden eigentlich nicht diskutiert.)
