I'm starting this instance and this account for my art, and for boosting other artists, especially #SciArt

I'm also Admin on vis.social
Oh! The iris is in full bloom, and has a wonderful scent. We weren't sure if this would even survive and grow, let alone bloom.
I started drawing penguins last year, thinking of them as angry penguins. But they turned out cute. The more I aimed for angry, the more cute they got. So I decided to lean into the cute.

One of my most popular coloring pages, created with code that started out as a chemistry simulation and ended up as art. It's frequently stolen and posted without my permission. Instead, you can get it directly from me, and support my works: https://www.patreon.com/posts/8659616
Very early stages of something I'm working on. Very very early stages.

This month's sticker design is inspired by turkey tail mushrooms. I'll be sending these out to everyone who's a member of my ArtAtomic sticker club by the end of this month. https://www.patreon.com/posts/152184782
I've added my Batleth Wielding Penguins drawings to my online shop. The sunlight was so lovely today that I was able to get a semi-decent photo of one of them.
Working a new piece on watercolor paper and my new inks. They play nicely on this paper.
Art makes everything better! Even fighting cancer.

I've been busy, and not keeping up with current events/news for a few days. And spending lots of time surrounded by art.
I'm wanting to be this way forever. I know I can't stay this way, but it's doing wonders for my inner piece, let alone my stress levels....ummm except people who crowd you in museums, and step in front of you while spending time with artworks.
It doesn't look like it, but I made this floral pattern with a particle system. Yep, art inspired by a debugging process while developing a chemistry simulation: https://www.artatomic.io/product/particle-flower/S6DU4HOI4A5FLGMWQDFYT4FP

I slept so well last night. It's good to be home.
I wish I had more of these left. Someday I'll have to do another series of prints in these colors. It still delights me that debugging a chemistry simulation led to art works like this. https://www.artatomic.io/product/particle-traces/O4NKJRDELMH3MNDKTNSF6LJG
I spent two days at the Boston Museum of Fine Art. I'm exhausted and recharged!
Was able to share a meal with two members of vis.social and datavis.social moderation team.
I leave Boston in the morning, and heading to Connecticut.
It feels to me like San Francisco is in need of some sort of grass roots arts. Local artists staging small pop-ups. Maybe collaborating with local small biz coffee shops and book stores...run by locals for locals.
I've been told by gallery peeps that the San Francisco art market is "over saturated". I call bullshit. There is just so little appreciation or support for the arts here now. The city is bleeding culture, food, and art and it's soul is dying.
We have to bring it back.
For folks who would like a lot of these stickers to give away, or support my projects, I've just added sets of them to my online shop: https://www.artatomic.io/product/set-of-5-stickers-minnesotta-flag/GSIZE4H2YP5FGCAEDZSEAHSH
If you'd like more, let me know and I'll set up a listing for you.
I wrote a bit about this artwork sticker, and how you can also request one for free if you participate in my #StickersAndStamps project: https://www.patreon.com/posts/151292703
Wondering how the fediverse could become more helpful to working artists. Most of my fellow artists have given up and are more active or only active on other platforms.
If the fediverse can't financially support the arts...ummm...hmmm.
Today, as an American, I saw another clue about why British Mystery shows have coconuts as prizes in county fairs. In one of the cases, at the Boston Museum Of Fine Arts, I saw silver works built around osterige eggs and coconuts. As if the coconut was a rare precious stone.
I was kinda obsessed with "Mystic Rose" structures (from Mathematics) for a while, and I created a whole bunch of artwork with them. Here's one: https://www.artatomic.io/product/mystic-rose-splatter/3C3U4SRH26OOVQOJ455XMQBZ

Experimenting with posting with tusky, with one of my favorite recent drawings...https://www.artatomic.io/product/original-drawing-of-spiral-of-ants-with-words-in-ink-small-/81
As I try to get in the habit of sharing when I have art in my shop, here is a cute circle of blue penguins. Hand drawn in ink on watercolor paper.

It occurs to me that RFK Jrs' crusade against Medical Science is much like the old Witch Burning idiocies and cruelties.
He doesn't care how many people and children suffer and die, if he can just burn everyone trying to help make things better.
Experimenting with posting a timed repost of my #inkyDays drawings from this account.

Part of updating my portfolio/art page has been replacing my old defunct etsy links with those on my current online shop. Next step is to make some of the prints available. For now, these are listed as 'sold out'. I needed a link to show the artwork so that galleries and shows could see more of my work on line.
Somebody has been blowing up something really loud a few blocks away, every hour, for the last few hours. Here in #NoeValley
Why?!
This last one was a few minutes ago, after midnight, on a Sunday night.
In the pouring rain.
Not confident that I'll get any sleep tonight.
Yesterday, I saw a piece in this series when I was waiting for a blood draw. Art makes everything better!
