@NudelnAlDente There was an ice cream place that sold ice cream shakes near me. The menu was animated, and would only show the shake ingredients for a couple seconds before cycling. The server explained that I could just ask and she could tell me what was in each, and I really tried but my brain just could not process what the options were.

@veronica @dumdumdelish @superbetsy This design is from Portland, Oregon

@Ardubal @hanshuebner @plexus There is a middle ground between vibe coding and artisinal coding where the llm assists you and the results are still high quality, with a clear increase in productivity. I have complicated feelings around the class of people who own the LLMs and little faith they will act in the best interest for society. Also water and energy use. I'm also being forced to either adopt LLMs at work or be unemployed. Existing under capitalism is complex.

@loucyx @abstractcode @daisy Its "our code" when its correct and "the AIs code" when its anything else.

@kentparkstreet1 Its only fine if the "them" is billionaires.

@AberDerBart@chaos.social this is fantastic 😻

@GrandmasterBash @Ardubal @hanshuebner @plexus Thats a difficult spot to be. If the stuff I was coding had the chance to cause real harm I would also be trying to leave.

@mosssupply How do I put the smoke back inside the GPU?

@VogueLaGalere@mastodon.online @toldtheworld@mastodon.social I am certainly not trusting anything on grokepedia, and that extends to anyone linking it as a source.

@deano@mastodon.online @BurritoSommelier@techhub.social "Our wildfire tracker uses data from NASA's VIIRS (Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite) satellite instruments. These satellites detect thermal anomalies indicating active fires and provide wildfire data updated multiple times a day to emergency managers, firefighters, and the public." This is way over counting. One actual fire can show up as hundreds or thousands of points on the map.
